Our mission is to help all students achieve their highest academic and spiritual potential using sound, biblical academic curricula while providing a nurturing environment.

Governance

Trustees

Growing in Light Academy is a Private Ministry Association for the purpose of education that establishes its own operating guidelines and is not under the jurisdiction of the state, local, and federal laws and regulations. Membership is voluntary and services are not open to the public (only to private members), its independent, and Privately-funded. Trustees are the founders, with backgrounds in a variety of fields including business, finance, ministry, and non-profit experience. They are visionaries, serve as oversight for all committees and are the final say on all ministry-related matters.

Board

The Advisory Committee serves below the Trustees and is primarily made up of families who help run the day-to-day operations of the ministry and give their time, talent, and resources to make GLM a reality for our families. Members have various experience that help bring strength to the ministry. The Advisory Committee reports to the Trustees.

Founding Families

These families are the heartbeat of the ministry, and embody the vision and mission. They love Jesus, champion our cause, and will do whatever it takes to make sure new families feel at home and well-cared for. Without our Founding Families, GLM would cease to exist!

GLM encourages parent input and involvement and has a variety of parent-led committees to participate in. These committees set our ministry apart from other education options by giving parents a chance to really get involved.

What We Believe

  2. We will accomplish our Mission by creating a safe and secure environment that encourages academic and spiritual growth

  3. We use open communication and transparency as we partner with families 

  4. We will inspire students to grow their faith in Jesus by equipping them with a biblical curriculum, mentorship, and opportunity for developing their strengths, passions, and abilities. 

  5. We will to foster a strong sense of community for the staff, children, and families

Grades: Kindergarten thru 5th Grade

Hours: Monday thru Thursday 8:30am-3:00pm

Core Classes 8:30-1pm, Electives 1:30-3pm (both options available, see Enrollment tab)
